Trinity Square

On a late afternoon walk I ventured into Trinity Square.  A tribute to the merchant navy and fishing fleets of World War II.

As yet another fabulous day came to an end, the sunlight streaming across these figures made me think of a sunset in the middle of an ocean.

THE TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND OF THE MERCHANT NAVY AND FISHING FLEETS
WHOSE NAMES ARE HONOURED ON THE WALLS OF THIS GARDEN
GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY
AND HAVE NO GRAVE BUT THE SEA
