As of today, ... he or she is still alive.
Apparently from a good friend who loves birds, for $60 I can have a DNA test to find out if it is a girl or a boy.
I wasn't planning on a two hour vigil, much less than DNA test for a bird I found in the backyard.
After a two hour death watch, I wasn't expecting what may well become a 17 year relationship for me and the robin ?!?!
And apparently they can live that long in captivity.
A whole lot of pictures to be posted, ...it is kind of hard to take pictures or post anything with a wild bird in your left hand.
His / her wings are filling out and soon he / she will be able to fly. Robins in the wild usually live less than one year. My goal would be to return him / her to their natural state.
This one however seems to be be quite content to sleep on my chest and eating canned salmon and tuna all day, every hour on the hour.
Pictures to follow, ... someone needs to be fed.
