Heart of Steel

Today is Thanks Giving Day in Canada.

It started out on a bad note and got progressively worse, that being said there is still so much to be thankful for.

My intention was to drive around aimlessly, however that soon became a trip back to Hamilton to see what I could find.

Other than vacant industrial areas, and mostly empty streets it was extremely quiet. Much like a quiet Sunday morning after a long night at the local bar.  The city hadn't quite gotten over it's hangover yet.

I then drove by a yard of rolled steeled rusting in the sun. Hamilton is a city made of steel, and steel runs through its veins, just like Pittsburgh and many others that drive the world's economy.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanks Giving no matter what day you celebrate it on.

My Town

Deep in the the heart of Hamilton.

Ironically the One Way sign happens to clash perfectly with the Do No Enter sign.

This is now my town and there is no looking back.

Unless it is in the side view mirror. ;o )
