A Surprise Around Every Corner

I am still reviewing photos from my trip to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, and the place still amazes me. I am trying to visualize where every picture was taken and how to make them even better when I go back in July.

All of these photos were hand held, auto focus, auto ISO, and auto white balance, ... and completely off the cuff as we were on a group tour, and I didn't have a clue as to waited around the next corner.

This didn't leave me much time as we had to keep on moving and we only had 1 1/2 hours to cover two building.

This photo is of an un-restored common area used by some of the patients in the hospital. This was the first of these areas we came across on the tour after exiting the pre-American Civil War wing. It does appear that the ceiling has been restored

A little later during the tour we came across another patient common area that has be restored to it's former beauty.

The differences in the areas was not obvious for me at first, but after the tour and looking at the photos, I wondered how I didn't see it immediately.

Did you spot the difference?  Other than the restoration of course, if not, ... I won't spoil it. Take the tour.

If you are a photographer the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is an absolute must see.
