I love Zeiss lenses.
They are the sharpest lenses I have ever found.
I would not trade any of my old, all metal, manual focus lenses for any newer plastic, auto-focus lens on the market.
I love the weight and feel of an all metal lens. Plus the precision and total control of a Zeiss manual focus lens is incredible.
The Carl Zeiss, Distagon T* 2,8/25 ZF, is extremely hard to find in North America. I found one in Europe, but I would not buy any lens sight unseen.
My want ad was up forever. Then out of the blue, ... and the owner was less than an hour from where I work.
I now am the proud owner of Carl Zeiss, Distagon T* 2,8/25 ZF.
Apparently, ... a moderate wide angle lens.
After a quick cleaning, my biggest fear is bumping the flower into the camera lens. This lens focuses closer that a couple of my macro lenses.
