It is a weird subject for a blog, but it is a key ingredient in almost every recipe. My inlaws swore it was the fountain of youth.
Allium sativum is a species in the
onion genus, Allium. Its close relatives include the onion, shallot,
leek, chive, and rakkyo.
All I know is makes meals taste absolutely amazing. So to honour this somewhat less than glamourous champion of the culinary world, I have decided to post some pictures I took while making my South Miami Cuban Stew.
In my own opinion the garlic with the purple tint is the best tasting.
