Lloyd's Building At Night

Another photo of the Lloyd's building.

This handheld shot was made possible with superior performance of the Nikon D700, and a NIKKOR 14-24 mm, f/2.8 lens.

I would have loved to have taken the same photo with my manaul focus NIKKOR 24mm f/2.8, and compared the differences.

My opinion is, ... hand held, autofocus lenses (if your DSLR doesn't support manual focusing), ... in low light situations only, ... would be the choice for the casual traveller.

On a tripod, ... most manual focus fixed lenses with the same camera will produce a much sharper image.
