I started this blog a couple of days ago but I never took any pictures to go along with it.
The title says it all. I don't like being cold, and I especially hate being cold and wet. So what do I like to do in my spare time? Go scuba diving in Canada of course.
It is not as bad as it seems. Dry suits filled with argon make it as pleasant as being submerged in 40F water can be. It really is quite comfortable. Anyway that leads me to today's pictures.

I dove Sherkston quarry yesterday solo and got 27 minutes in the water before my fingers hurt so bad I had to get out. I was diving wet gloves and no Argon though. Today Dale, Bob and I did two dives totaling 73 minutes and I was ready for more.
Here is a picture of the quarry taken with my iPhone on Saturday. The first weekend the quarry was free of ice. I was the first and second diver in the quarry for the 2013 season. And saying that I should probably have my head checked. It is very cool to be the first one to see the sunken locomotives in 2013. The two locomotives are in the left edge of the picture at approximate 35 feet, and half way to the beach.

This was dive number seven (7) for Dale and I, and we have a goal of 150 dives this year. So far this year we have totalled seven dives and I have spent 2.9 hours underwater. Off to a good start, but 150 dives is still 143 dives away. And time is ticking until the snow flies again.
